A horizontal planetary ball mill features four horizontally mounted ball mills symmetrically mounted on a vertical planetary disk. The mills lack a fixed flat bottom during their planetary motion. During the grinding process, the grinding balls within the mills are subjected to the centrifugal forces of both revolution and rotation, as well as their own gravity. This helps to enhance the chaotic movement of the balls and material, improving both grinding quality and efficiency. Because the mills lack a fixed flat bottom during rotation, they effectively prevent some materials from sinking to the bottom. The horizontal planetary ball mill offers a simple structure and convenient operation, making it suitable for laboratory experiments with small batches of samples.
